This class focuses on: drawing, collaboration, interpretation, catharsis, relational aesthetics, subversion, perversion, mobility, negotivity, comics, head shots, etc. etc.

All show sign up for the one night class will be invited to draw and collaborate as stated (or not) in the following manifesto:

Nude models will be on site.

MANIFESTO:

The purpose of a Fucked Up Drawing Party is to get fucked up (i.e. intoxicated) and draw things that are fucked up (i.e. disturbing). What constitutes a Fucked Up Drawing is different for everyone. Some people discover the Fucked Up in aberrant sexuality or perverse violence, for others it may be politically charged. Styles range from abstract mark making to soft-core realism- being eccentrically overt or delicately subtle.

youlooklikemagic, first come first serve! the limit is loose and since its a party, come and go as and when you like.

commented on openFrameworks

openFrameworks is an open-source tool and C++ framework for creative programming. Especially created for artists and designers, openFrameworks is the ideal starting point for those who want to take their first steps in C++ programming. At the same time, it is an immensely powerful tool for developing more advanced projects, providing a simple and intuitive structure for experimentation with many other open-source libraries.

The library is designed to work as a general purpose glue, and wraps together several commonly-used open source libraries within a tidy interface: openGL for graphics, openCV for computer vision, rtAudio for audio analysis and synthesis, freeType for fonts, freeImage for image input and output, Quicktime for video playing and sequence grabbing, and many other free libaries for networking, serial communications, vector graphics output, etcetera.

The code is written to be both cross platform and cross compiler.

Sorry, but registration is closed for the class and space is limited (and already pretty crowded). There are quite a few of you interested folks that were unable to sign up, but we will definitely let you know if this class is offered again.

Class would learn about latex molds, class would make their own latex mold. Class members would need to bring in an object no bigger then a fist. After latex molds cure, class can then fill molds with different mediums like plaster or even chocolate.

proposed Temari

Temari is an ancient Japanese craft that uses simple materials and embroidery thread to create a toy ball covered with geometric patterns and designs. They are traditionally made to be gifts.

An expert could come teach a formal class about construction and ways to create patterns, or we could just draw from the various how-to books and attack it together.

This workshop would cover different recipes for preserving vegetables and fruits and how to properly seal jars. People could bring in different ingredients and then trade what they have made at the end of the class.

The second meeting of this class meets this Sunday at 3pm! Everyone is welcome to join in as we experiment more with the canning process and taste our creations from the first class.
