This class will invite participants to engage in the most firmly entrenched participatory practice in Western Literature, appropriating the text of Revelations. We will start by reading from the climatic chapter in the New Testament with an eye towards deciphering the psychology of its author through textual analysis. Once we've felt out the basic construction we will engage in a conversation on how Revelation changed the conception of both personal and sociohistorical time in the Middle Ages.
