Join us on Sunday afternoon to learn more about The Public School while eating some delicious soup. If you've had questions about the way The Public School works (what classes get chosen? why? what is the decision-making process?) then come down and ask. If you have ideas about how the school could work better, this class is intended to be one opportunity to put them forward. And if you just want to get more involved in the administrative life of The Public School, you can come and find out how.

During this Public School Class, we will also be discusssing our recent invitation to submit a proposal for the upcoming exhibition, "Actions, Conversations, and Intersections" at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Art Park. If this sounds like something you would like to be part of, then help us start the conversation about how we might participate.

Although we don't need any excuse to eat soup, we'll be serving it on Sunday to introduce a project developed by InCUBATE in Chicago, called Sunday Soup, that distributes grant money to artists in a very similar spirit to The Public School. Although Sunday will purely be an informational session, our plan is to work with InCUBATE to do a Sunday Soup here in June.

This Public School class will be meeting every 3 months - visit the class page for more information or to post questions
