How about we do workshop, group discussions, and/or "show and tell" style class.
No teachers but instead everyone participate by bringing ideas, readings, and presentations.
Perhaps, we can eventually come up with next step such as actual foraging activities?

If anyone is interested in, we can invite Fallen Fruit guys.
There's also a group of local dumpster divers who made a documentary we could watch:

It may also be worth it to watch Agnes Vardas' documentary about foraging called, "Les Glaneurs et la Glaneuse" (translation: "The Gleaners and I") - available from Netflix.
The sequel, "The Gleaners and I: Two Years Later" is also worth watching, if you can find it.
These films take place in France, but will inspire ideas for gleaning and foraging in the South Land...
