Latex Mold Making
proposed by sarasimon

Class would learn about latex molds, class would make their own latex mold. Class members would need to bring in an object no bigger then a fist. After latex molds cure, class can then fill molds with different mediums like plaster or even chocolate.

Comment

Hi everyone,

Sara has brought up a concern about the rainy and cold weather considerably slowing the curing time of the latex. We might be able to combat this with heaters or hair dryers or something, but we just want to forewarn everyone that is planning to attend of the issue. So let's all hope for a dryer, warmer day!

This class is now scheduled for a Saturday afternoon in December. Please sign up using the "Buy Now" button below.

Sara will also be teaching Gold Leafing the following day. Attend both so you can gold leaf the sculpture you make. This is an opportunity to make an awesome original object as a gift for the holidays. Sign up for Gold Leafing here: http://la.thepublicschool.org/class/1714

hi detritus,

there are no hard and fast rules for when classes have "enough" interest to be scheduled, but this class already has a teacher and scheduling is in the works. we'll keep you posted!

How many people need to be interested before a class is created?
